Ruben de Vries
Ruben de Vries has been working for BusinessForensics since April 2019 as an Implementation consultant. After graduating in Business Information Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he first followed a number of different BI courses and obtained Microsoft certificates in, among others: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, SCRUM and PowerBI.
During his master’s degree in Business Information Management he learned a lot about change management, program management and IT governance. He has also learned to program and has written his thesis on machine learning. In 2018 he graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
During his studies he worked on assignments for Phillips HUE, Airbnb and Blokker. In the various business processes, Ruben noticed that there is still a huge gap between business and IT. Many software projects are delayed because there is information asymmetry between business and IT. Based on his knowledge and experience, he assists clients in drawing up business requirements in order to shorten the lead time of IT projects.
The most important thing for Ruben is to have a good relationship with the people he works with. A good bond leads to trust and gives room for constructive criticism. This bond improves the insight into the wishes of users and the various disciplines are better connected with each other, in order to achieve a better end result.
